The White House Tour

No photography is allowed inside of the white house!!!  During a standard tour visitors see the Vermeil Room, The China Room, The East Room, The Green Room, The Blue Room (my personal favorite), The Red Room and the State Dining Room.

The East Room is the largest in the White House.  It is used for ceremonies, press conferences, receptions and other events. Several weddings have taken place in the East Room (Nellie Grant, Alice Roosevelt and Lynda Bird Johnson).  The bodies of several Presidents have lain in state here.

The Green Room once served as Thomas Jefferson's dining room is now used as a parlor.

The Blue Room is often used by the President to receive guests.

The Red Room is used for small receptions and is often used by First Ladies.

The State Dining Room can seat 130 guests.

The White House is the oldest public building in DC!

Aaron and Caylin added to their Junior Ranger Collection by Completing President's Park Junior Ranger Activities  :)

After walking over 20,000 steps it was time to catch the subway & bus  back to Cherry Hill
