Heading toward Saguaro National Park in Arizona we began looking for a good RV park to spend the night.
Located in Tucson Mountain Park in Arizona is a small, nice park, Gilbert Ray Campground. The campground is quiet and very scenic. Saguaro Cacti as well as other species of cacti and desert plants abound. The wildlife is abundant. There are plenty of rabbits, lizards, birds and coyotes. Gilbert Ray Campground is not staffed during the summer months. You pay at a pay box. For a 30 amp, water and electric site, it cost us $20.00 for one evening.
Its proximity to Saguaro National Park is a bonus. The park is located about 4 miles from the campground.
