Utah to Arizona and the Petrified Forest-Painted Desert National Park

June 19th- June 20th

Rolling down the highway from Zion National Park in Utah to Holbrook, Arizona.  Holbrook is the closest large town near The Petrified Forest - Painted Desert National park.

Lots of beautiful limestone

Another scary road with beautiful views but massive
canyons.  We've decided that our country
needs to invest in more guard rails.  There are
not nearly enough!!

Limestone on the sides of the road.
The road is heading right toward some
beautiful red and purple sandstone

We love the traffic (or should I say, lack of) in this
part of Arizona!

Lots of Ravens here

Petroglyphs

Thank goodness for binoculars!
We were able to see petroglyphs that you
wouldn't otherwise be able to see

Petrified Wood

Willy prefers to stay inside the RV

Yep, another Junior Ranger Badge to add
to their collection.

Now, back to Holbrook to get Stephanie a piece of petrified wood and then on to Gallop, NM for the night.  We love the USA RV park there.  By the way, active military stays for free there!
